Beaver Hills Early Learning Center is participating in United Way's 2024 Day of Action and could use some help. Volunteers will be expected to help with the following:
The "Bright Beginnings Toy Shelving Revamp" project at Beaver Hills Early Learning Center focuses on rejuvenating the shelves that hold toys for our children. Over time, these shelves have become worn, and to ensure they continue to provide a safe and appealing environment, we need these sanded and repainted.
The goal is to refresh these essential pieces of furniture, making them not only durable but also vibrant and inviting for our young learners. By restoring the shelves, we aim to enhance the overall aesthetic of our classrooms, creating a welcoming space where children can freely explore, play, and learn. The project will also align with our commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for all children at Beaver Hills.
Ideal Volunteers will be asked to use an electric sander to sand former paint off the shelving, and then will be asked to repaint the shelving. Necessary supplies will be provided, but it is encouraged that volunteers bring personal items such as dust masks, work gloves, or paint brushes or rollers if able.
