We are very excited to announce the return of the Week of Reading!
The United Way of Henry County and Martinsville and its early learning initiative, MHC Partners for Children, are coordinating the third Annual Week of Reading event (our last Week of Reading event was held in 2019 prior to COVID) to provide opportunities for community volunteers to read to our young learners, ages three to seven, in childcare and summer programs. The dates for Week of Reading are Monday, July 8th through Friday, July 12th.

If you are interested in being a volunteer reader for Week of Reading 2024, please sign up by Friday, June 21st. After confirming your interest, you will be contacted with information about your reading placement.
The Week of Reading event celebrates and encourages reading aloud to children in our community! We hope you will partner with us as a volunteer reader this summer to help us celebrate the "Love of Reading" in children!
