Dan River Nonprofit Network

Through the Dan River Nonprofit Network, we operate as a central coordinator to build connections, increase capacity, and foster partnerships to move towards a greater collective community impact. We identify trends of concern to local nonprofits, share proven practices, as well as support implementation of those techniques that in turn benefit the nonprofits and the clients they serve. The Network provides opportunities for professional networking, increased funding prospects, collaborative resources, and provides a home for regional nonprofits to converse and learn from each other in order to raise the region’s profile. Our grassroots endeavor seeks to change the face of nonprofits in our region and with your help we believe we can achieve this.

The Dan River Nonprofit Network is organized exclusively for charitable and education purposes and exists to facilitate connections and provide tools to enable nonprofit organization success. The purpose of this agency is:

• To provide education and training: provide and/or coordinate training opportunities to address educational needs at the board, executive, and staff levels 
  
  
• To become a networking hub: establish avenues for leaders, staff, and volunteers of Dan River nonprofits to share, learn, communicate, and connect with each other 
  
  
• To become an information clearinghouse: provide a source from which nonprofits can learn about and access opportunities to share resources with other regional nonprofits 
  
  
• To create opportunities for shared resources: negotiate with businesses and suppliers to contract reduced nonprofit prices
