Who We Are

Our Mission

Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. We undertake our work to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ. Our focus is shelter, believing that access to decent, affordable housing is a foundation for breaking the cycle of poverty, promoting dignity, and building hope. DPCHFH was formed in 1991. We have built 45 new homes and renovated 5 existing homes, providing decent homes for more than 180 people.

Our Vision

Habitat's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

What We Do

DPCHFH builds homes for low-income families who need a decent place to live. Habitat partner families help build their own homes. Along with families, volunteers help build, too. This helps Habitat keep building costs lower, and these savings are passed on to the home owners in the form of an affordable, energy-efficient home. Building is our primary mission. In support of that, DPCHFH operates a ReStore which sells donated building materials and home goods to raise money to build more homes.
