Timeless Traditions Foundation - CDC

Who We Are

TTF is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Dry Fork, Virginia. We are a pioneering regional anchor in health, culture, and economic mobility, operating at the intersection of historical reclamation and clinical wellness. Our organizational worldview is defined by our "Soil-to-Soul" model—the belief that true community healing and self-sufficiency are built by restoring the physical, economic, and psychological connections between a people and the land they steward. 2. Our Ecosystem: Fusing Passion with Enterprise To ensure long-term stability and eliminate grant dependency, we operate within a visionary, three-tiered ecosystem: Legacy Land Consortium (LLC): Established in 2020 as our foundational land-holding entity to protect and preserve our ancestral acreage. Echo Valley Micro Resort & Retreat Center (EVMR): Our for-profit economic engine, featuring nature trails, pocket parks, streams, an herbal lab, a pool, and a therapeutic salt cave. This social enterprise funds our community programs. Timeless Traditions Foundation (TTF): Our non-profit programmatic arm that delivers direct, community-facing services and acts as a trusted Model C Fiscal Sponsor to elevate and build capacity for emerging local initiatives. 3. Our Leadership Our leadership team—which includes an Executive Director (Bethann West James), a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Fellow (Chad Martin), an MPH (Jerelle Carter), and an MBA/CFO (Tye Carter)—executes our mission through four uniform pillars: Legacy & Cultural Stewardship (History & Culture): Documenting, preserving, and sharing family histories to transmit ancestral knowledge across generations, primarily through our Intergenerational Literacy Project. Ancestral Health & Wellness (Well-being & Prevention): Addressing systemic health disparities and "nutritional trauma" through targeted, precision prevention. We hyper-focus on illnesses that have heavily impacted our family and community: Breast/Prostate Cancer, Alzheimer’s, the Black maternal health crisis, and Sarcoidosis. This is delivered via our Regional Maternal Health Network and Maternal Food Pharmacy. Economic Mobility & Entrepreneurship (Economic Development): Creating pathways to financial independence for low-and-moderate-income (LMI) individuals. We teach financial literacy, business operations, and budgeting for future homeownership. Land & Housing Stewardship (Community Infrastructure): Partnering with the Legacy Land Consortium to acquire, develop, and manage land designated for quality affordable residential housing and environmental protection. Timeless Traditions Foundation CDC: Restoring health, reclaiming history, and building generational wealth from the soil up.
