Tackfully Teamed Riding Academy, INC

Tackfully Teamed Riding Academy is a therapeutic horseback riding center. Located in Henry, VA, TTRA has been in operation since October 2003. Tackfully Teamed provides therapeutic riding to persons of all ages with disabilities (physical, developmental, emotional, and learning disabled). Presently, the ages of our riders range from 3 to 87 . Some of the disabilities that benefit from therapeutic riding are multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Down Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, cerebral palsy, paralysis, Alzheimer's, spina bifida, amputations, traumatic brain injury, autism, strokes, ADHD, and other cognitive and emotional problems.

However, the therapeutic value of a relationship between a horse and a rider has been proven to be physically, psychologically, and socially beneficial to individuals with or without disabilities. Tackfully Teamed teaches individuals how to react with horses. This includes instruction in safety, grooming and care, preparation for riding, and actual riding. The center also includes other ground activities.

Individuals with varying disabilities and degrees of ability, require different goals. Objectives are set for each rider to help them meet their individual goals. Tackfully Teamed Riding Academy is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH) Center and a member of the Therapeutic Riding Association of Virginia (TRAV)
