DANVILLE, VA has been selected as one of 20 cities to be featured in the national Partners in Preservation campaign! Our project and theme is Fight 4 North Union Street, and we need YOU to get in the ring and help us fight for $150,000 in preservation funding.
We need your help! The River District Association is looking for volunteers to help us get the word out and the votes in to secure $150,000 in grant funding for preservation efforts on North Union Street. The top 10 cities with the most votes by October 26 will be awarded funding.
Volunteers will attend the Averett Homecoming Brunch in the Student Center Dining Hall and give information to the public and ask them to vote. Ipads will be provided along with all information about the campaign. Each event will need at least 2 people each shift, with most shifts running 2 to 3 hours. The campaign will end October 26th.
